Former Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-La.) has publicly disavowed right-wing influencer Laura Loomer's recent social media posts, describing them as representative of what she calls President Trump's "new MAGA and Republican Party." Greene's comments came in response to an inflammatory post Loomer directed at Florida state Representative Angie Nixon (D), who is currently running for the U.S. Senate.
In a post on X, Greene wrote that while she does not support Nixon and is not a Democrat, "the Republican Party and President Trump owns Laura Loomer and her nonstop vitriol." She added: "I 1000% denounce Laura Loomer and her nasty, hateful, racists comments. This is Trump's new MAGA and Republican Party and I want nothing to do with it."
Greene characterized Loomer's language as "demeaning rhetoric" that "should not be tolerated. Ever." She also suggested that Loomer's attacks are politically damaging, writing: "But they allow it and keep her in the inner circle. Loomer hurts Republican Senator Ashley Moody in her race with these vicious attacks. Just like Loomer has consistently hurt the Republican Party as she whispers nonstop insanity in the President's ear."
Loomer fired back on X, defending her comments and attacking Greene's past association with Milo Yiannopoulos, a far-right provocateur who was detained and deported to the United Kingdom last week. Loomer wrote: "This is the same MTG who hired Milo Yiannopoulos to work for her and let him live in her home where he plotted against President Trump and openly supported designated Islamic terror orgs like Hamas on social media and spread rumors that @POTUS faked his assassination attempt."
Loomer has claimed credit for tipping off federal authorities about Yiannopoulos. White House border czar Tom Homan told CNN on Sunday that "a lot of people tipped ICE off" and that Loomer "probably was" among them. Loomer further accused Greene of being a Democrat and said, "You are most definitely a Democrat, @mtgreenee and you own Milo more than anyone because you were aware of all of his activities and his immigration issues yet you still kept him around. I don't work for the White House or President Trump. I am free to say whatever I want."
Greene, once a staunch ally of the president, has fallen out of favor with Trump following an open feud. The former congresswoman has voiced frustration over the administration's handling of documents related to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Trump responded by derisively calling her "Marjorie Traitor Brown." Greene resigned from Congress in January but has continued to criticize Trump and his administration, particularly on the cost of living and the Iran war. Her latest comments highlight the ongoing tensions within the Republican Party as it navigates the president's influence and the rise of far-right figures like Loomer.
